The clients wanted a design that was more manageable than their existing layout, that was easy to maintain, looked attractive year-round and was safe for children to play in. Immediately next to the house is a ‘winterbourne’ that carries winter water away fromt he nearby road.

‘Our sloping garden in the country is particularly challenging being a dry, windy site with frequent visits from deer, notorious for eating newly planted shrubs! Sophie’s design drawings were extensive, detailed and well received by our landscape contractors which meant clarity throughout the process.
